Scrapping the Scrapping
Recording the recording...
Do you take photos of Happy Mail? Scrap supplies? Stuff all over your desk? I do. Well, I don't go out much ... If you're a (paper style) Project Lifer then scrapping supplies are part of your life whether they're neatly packaged or all over your desk.
Taking photos of the process is also a sneaky way of getting photos into your pocket pages without making pocket pages on the subject. I don't use pocket scrapping for my heritage pages mostly because I have a gazillion digital kits and have already made lots of pages (you can see links to some albums HERE). Throwing a pocket page into the mix would look odd.
However, genealogy and messing about with old photos is a big part of what I do so it should go into my albums. I made this page with Becky Higgins' Digital Project Life Heritage kit which was designed by Celeste Knight. Embellishments from Generations by One Little Bird. The scanning project went on for days so it had to go in the album!

Who can resist Happy Mail photos? I got my money's worth with these wooden embellishments. I took lots of photos of them on my dressing table where the wood was a similar tone and used them in this digi page (tutorial about inner shadows coming soon ...) Kit is Because I'm Happy by Digital Design Essentials.

Here are some of the photos being used in a paper layout. This is a work in progress, I'll replace the picture when it's finished. The paper cards are from Becky Higgins' Happy kit, digital "hello" card is by Natali Designs.
In this page I included a couple of shots of PL cards. I'd been taking some photos for selling on ebay and got bored! Cards are from Becky Higgins' Strawberry kit.
Go ahead and scrap your scrapping! Not too many photos though, we don't want evidence of over-spending around the house, do we?
