Nothing Happened Today
How to scrap those exciting Days Of Our Lives
I consider myself an expert in this field, on account of very little happens in my life. We don't have children (or pets at the time of writing) and DH works long hours. I still rise to the challenge - usually DH's challenge - of making a page.
The trick is to make a page that amuses you and hopefully will amuse you in years to come. You're not making it for the approval or amusement of other people. Please write that last sentence on several post-it notes and put them all over your house.
The best way to show you what I do is by showing you my pages but I have a few tips:
1) Collect stuff. Take photos of anything and everything. Collect screenshots, Facebook memes etc. See our No Photos No Problem article here.
2) Think "everyday". Objects in your house, your street etc. Don't look for the exciting shot, look for the everyday. (I've extended that into "think nonsense" and some of my pages are a bit off the wall but you don't have to go that far!)
3) Keep a PL "log". This I basically a diary where I write very simple notes of potential things that can go into my pages. It sits on my computer desk since that's where I spent most of my time but you could write notes on your phone instead. It comes in very handy when you get behind. You'll be surprised what you can include once you start writing it down.

Rainy Days
January and February 2014 have already passed into the history books as the wettest anyone remembers in the UK. It was impossible to get out and do anything. On February 9 we were desperate to get out for a walk. There are several coffee shops within walking distance but we failed to get to any of them on the first attempt as we got soaked. We finally got there. No phone. No camera. No problem.
I took the photos of the coffee and millionaire's shortbread from the Costa website. Now, of course you shouldn't generally take photos from websites but in this case we're giving them free advertising and hope they won't mind. And we're advertising the nice new Costa in Shirley High Street, Southampton. I used a Becky Higgins Project Life template and the Coffee Shop kit by Raspberry Road. The arrow journal card and the one under the coffee cup are by Studio Double D.

Do you have hobbies?
Well, of course you do as you're looking at a hobby based website but I'll bet many of you do other crafts. Take a few shots of what you're making right now. This page has the month on it as I was (kinda) making monthly pages at the time but it could just as easily have a week number or date. Note I included a picture of a crochet book as well as my works-in-progress.
Currently ...
This page has just one photo - the choux bun - but is basically about what I'm watching and reading. There are lots of Currently type cards around or you can make your own. Book elements from Little Butterfly Wings, background from Gina Miller's Sea Salt, Currently cards by Valorie Wibbens.
Really, really nothing happened
This was a week of insomnia for me so I scrapped it anyway ... I just took photos where I was sitting. Cards are from the Perfectly Imperfect kit in the Project Life app.
Try it!
Select a week where nothing happened and just make a page!
