How to Position A Photo Over Several Pockets
Avoiding the "Eeek!" factor ...
Photos can look great split across several pockets - digital or paper - but you really don't want Mum's scrapbooking terrifying the little ones with amputated limbs and people cut in half. It looks ridiculous, folks! Often it's simply a matter of choosing the right photo (you have thousands on your computer, right?) and/or the right template and then cropping/positioning it just right.
If you need to learn how to merge a group of photo boxes in a PSE template that tutorial is HERE.
Here's the original photo I'm using (DH has mastered the art of the walking away shot ...)

Here's the first attempt using a four-photo section of a Becky Higgins' Digital Project Life template:
Oh dear ... and it has the effect of making me look even wider than I am! Let's stretch the photo out a bit.
It's still not good although many scrappers I know would think it's OK to cut someone's arm off! And we cut through the middle of the gate! You don't need to do that. Choose another template. I fit into this one OK but the we sliced through the big gatepost:
Let's zoom in .... Now I fit the frame perfectly BUT this page isn't about me. It's about a walk in the woods. So it would be good to get an idea of what the woods look like.
Here's the final positioning which shows you more of the woods ahead. You can also see more of the sun coming through the trees. It was a very hot day and it was cool in the woods (Alum chine, Bournemouth) and that's what we remember when we look at the photo.
Here's the page with more photos and cards from Becky Higgins' Digital Project Life Coral kit:
Here's the page on a layered background with more embellishments. Kit is Trixie Scraps' Nature Walk:
And here's a page with a different style of template with one big picture NOT split up. You decide which style is best!
